Terminology Management

Terminology refers to the reference of general concept of a term in a specific professional area (quoted from "The Establishment of GB/T 19100-2003 Concept System of Terminology").Although we have created and maintained some legal and patent terminology database composed of vocabularies by using MultiTerm. This database is supposed to unify and match the items of bilingual terminologies in both English and Chinese. But the effects fail to meet our requirement. According to the previous amendments, the "Three Musketeers" of Intellectual Property Law of China are amended almost once every eight years. On Dec. 27 2008, after the amendment of Patent Law, Trademark Law and Copyright Law will be amended in a few years as well as the relevant Rules and Regulatory Documents. Benefiting from the complete and scientific regulations on terminology of our country, we determined on reconstructing our terminology management.
